Our generous contributors:

The 1st Annual SouthEast UKE-2-Gether has come and gone. It was held on August 29,

2009 in Lithia Springs, Georgia at Sweetwater Creek State Park. We had an est. 50 that

attended. Many who attended were acquainted already with one another through the

online forum Ukulele Underground, South

ast Ukers group. They finally got to put

Faces with screen names! There was impromptu jams, checking out each others

collections of ukes, hot dogs from

, ukulele shaped cake from

& cookies baked by Mike Hu and a wide variety of ukuleles on display from

. We also had drawings for prizes; hats & t-shirts from

Strings from

, Stickers from

, a hand carved mini uke charm by our

friend

& local artist,

Joe

"Uke"

, and an

ukulele, green SK-15.

We would personally like to thank all that came out to show love for the ukulele & to

make friends with fellow ukers. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward

to the next UKE-2-Gether! A BIG "Thank You" to all that came out early and stayed

late for set up & clean up!
